- For the past thirty years, he has been professionally active across numerous Canadian and Indigenous organizations, as well as in the private sector. With extensive experience and exceptional diplomatic skills, Mr. Laine is regarded as a valuable contributor by Indigenous associations.
- He served as the Deputy Director of Public Hearings for the Royal Commission on Aboriginal Peoples and as a Senior Indigenous Coordinator for the Secretariat of the United Nations World Conference Against Racism.
